is a subsidiary of ETA GROUP which was founded in 1979 by a young engineer and a few of his colleagues from his student days. They began by reflecting on improving efficiency of switching power supplies and continued the idea by developing new topologies, which has continued since then.

With our high-level technology and know-how, ranging from R&D to manufacturing and marketing activities, we strive to satisfy the needs of customers today and in the future. We have established an integrated system including R&D, manufacturing, marketing and delivery with the help of a flexible production system which enables us to provide our customers with shorter time-to-market, shorter delivery time, small-lot production and total quality control.

Growth

Thanks to an inspired production and development concept, the company was able to come to grips with the rapid growth which ensued from inception of the company, with minimal problems. The initial turnover of 1.2 million US$ had already risen to over 8 million in the 3rd year of operation.

This fast double digit growth rate continued year by year. Since the 90's Japan's economy slowed down and stagnated at a high level. This meant that ETA had to orientate itself more and more towards the international market! No sooner said than done: in 1991 ETA POWER EUROPE Ltd. was successfully launched. The purpose of this subsidiary company, with its head office in central Switzerland, was to help open up the European market. This subsidiary of ETA Group has been active in the EU market for more than 13 years now and to the delight of the parent company, has developed in a very positive way, enabling a respectable sales network to be built up with a presence in over 30 countries.

Market Development

New concepts in circuitry and new topologies enabled ETA to continue on its path of growth. Through the compact size of the firm and high efficiency, ETA had a reputation everywhere in the industry for being very reliable. Telecommunications companies such as in particular Ericsson, France-,
China-, Singapore-, Turkish-Telecom, and many more, recognized that high power density per watt was an important criterion in using our series and integrated it successfully into the applications of the day.

In 1995 ETA Group was successfully floated on to the Tokyo stock market and continued to expand further.

Quality

The high international quality standards in force, as well as the numerous companies who were active on a global scale meant that guaranteed quality was demanded. In 1996 ETA Group was awarded with the ISO 9001 Quality Certificate and in 2004 with the ISO 14001 Environment Certificate!
